Organizing Romantic Gazebo Wedding

Of all the various options available for a romantic ceremony, Gazebo Weddings undoubtedly feature among the very best. Many couples dream of having a beautiful Gazebo Wedding, but not all of them may be aware that such ceremonies entail a lot of planning and preparation.
Since they are typically held outdoors, they do come with some added pitfalls that are not a concern with indoor ceremonies. To ensure that your ceremony is as beautiful and memorable as you dreamed it to be, we have put together these planning tips.
The Weather:This is by far the biggest concern as far as Gazebo Weddings go. While it is true that nothing can be more special than having a this type of ceremony, it is also true that the weather can play havoc at such ceremonies. Always have a back up indoor venue in case it rains. If that is not possible, consider hiring some tents that can be pitched up if need be. Even though it is not possible to control the weather, you can ensure that it does not ruin your ceremony by following these suggestions.
Think About Your Guests:Since the ceremony is going to be in the open, it is important to inform your guests what the weather will be like so that they can dress accordingly. If it is likely to be quite hot at the time of year when the ceremony is scheduled, arrange cool drinks and iced beverages for your guests. If it is likely to be cold, arrange to have some portable heaters and lap blankets which your guests can use.
Bridal Attire:Brides should avoid wearing gowns that are made from light weight fabrics such as chiffon or crepe as these are quite tough to handle in wintry conditions. You should also inform your hair dresser that you are having an outdoor ceremony so that you are given a hairstyle that will not come undone by the wind.
Decorations:A great thing about Gazebo Weddings is that nature provides you with most of the decoration that you need. You can enhance the beauty of the outdoors by putting up thousands of twinkling lights on trees and bushes. The gazebo itself can be decorated with flower trellises, with an attractive archway of flowers made at the entrance. Ribbon streamers can also be used to make Gazebo Weddings even lovelier. However, when choosing flowers for an outdoor ceremony, make sure they are hardy and can withstand the heat and the wind of the outdoors.
Lighting:If you want to add a unique look, consider using candle chandeliers and outdoor sconces to light up the area instead of electric lights. While the chandeliers can be suspended from the ceiling, the outdoor sconces can be mounted to tree trunks or even on poles pitched in the ground. In addition to providing a warm, cozy, and beautiful look to your ceremony; the citronella oil used to light the outdoor sconces will also help to keep bugs and insects at bay, which can be quite a pesky problem at Gazebo Weddings.
Keep the Food Simple:The food at Gazebo Weddings should be light and simple. Finger foods work really well as people can eat them while enjoying the pleasures of the outdoors, without having to carry food laden plates with them. A buffet is preferred over a sit down dinner or lunch.
Transport:A chauffer driven limousine may be the popular mode of transport for most ceremonies; but for Gazebo Weddings, a horse drawn carriage is definitely the way to go. The bride can arrive in the carriage, the groom on horseback, and at the end of the ceremony, both of them can happily ride away into the sunset.
Music:A live band is the preferred choice for Gazebo Weddings and not a DJ. If you cannot afford a complete band, even a soloist or two will do. But DJ’s are definitely out.
